Jyotisha AI · applies to the website and the Android app that opens it.

Who we are

Jyotisha AI is developed and operated by Samanvitha.

What this app does

Jyotisha AI shows a daily Panchang, a festival calendar, a Kundli (birth chart), a sign-by-sign Rashiphal and a chat about your chart. Calculations are done from astronomy; they follow traditional rules.

What information is used

• Birth details (date, place and time of birth) are sent to our server only to calculate your chart. Our server does not store them, write them to logs or link them to you. There are no accounts.
• Your language, city and the birth details of your last chart are saved only on your own device, in the browser's local storage, so you do not have to type them again. They never go to our server for storage. Use "Forget my saved birth details" on the Kundli page, or clear the app's data, to remove them.
• Location is read only when you tap a location button, and only with your permission. It is used to suggest a nearby city and is not stored.
• Chat questions. When the chat assistant is switched on, the question you type and the calculated labels of your chart (signs, houses, periods; no name, no birth place) are sent to an AI service (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) to write the reply. Do not type personal details, health records or anything you want kept private into the chat.
• Advertising. The Android app shows ads from Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use an advertising identifier or similar technologies to serve and measure ads and, where you agree, to personalise them. You can reset or opt out of ad personalisation in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads), and manage consent in the app when asked. We do not run our own analytics and do not sell data. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical request records (such as IP address and time) for a short period for security.

AI-generated answers

Some chat replies are written by an AI service and are marked "AI-generated". They can be wrong or unsuitable. Tap "Report this answer" under a reply to tell us; it opens your email app with the question and answer filled in so you can review and send it. We use reports only to improve the service.

Not advice

Astrology is traditional belief and is offered for reflection and entertainment. Nothing here is medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and nothing is guaranteed. Calendar and festival dates follow simple conventional rules and can differ by a day from a printed Panchang or a regional custom. Please verify important dates with a trusted source.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13.

Data sources

Place names and coordinates come from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Planet positions are calculated with the open-source Astronomy Engine library.

Your choices and contact

Because we do not keep your birth details, there is nothing to delete on our side; on your device you can clear the saved language and city by clearing the app data. For questions, contact samanvithanarayaniappana@gmail.com.

We may update this page; the current version is always at this address.
